New Year Party and all that

I have no idea as to what I would be doing on New Year's eve. Hardly know people around here and the ones I know are well and truly lazy to have a plan. All my plans of being in Pune/Bombay were dashed courtesy the huge repair costs for my car, after an accident.

Girls

What is it about girls that one moment they are fine, the next moment they just fly off the handle. Now, PMS is a horrid excuse.

Brown Eyed Girl

Currently listening to Pandora. It lets you create your own station based on a particular musician, and then plays songs from artists similar in nature.
Of the many stations I created, one was on Van Morrison, the song that first played was "Brown Eyed Girl". The next song that came up was "Not Fade Away" by The Rolling Stones. On querying the station, as to why it played this song the response was:
'Based on what you've told us so far, we're playing this track because it features mild rhythmic syncopation, repetitive melodic phrasing, extensive vamping, mixed acoustic and electric instrumentation and major key tonality.'
Hmm... I see.

Street Food

One of the things I really like about the sector I stay in, is the proximity to good street food. Evenings the shopping complex near one of the sectors transforms into a place with a wide range of street food. Chaat, tikkis, kebabs, rolls, biryani, soup, chaap, etc etc. The only problem is exercising in the mornings to knock off the additional weight gained after eating all the rich food.

The Choice

The choice was between watching home videos with indulgent grandparents of their off key grandkids and seeing a giant ape jumping around in NYC. I choose the latter.

Motivation for Jogging

Almost every morning I go for jogging around 6 AM in the nearby stadium. The only thing that keeps me motivated is the breakfast I dream up. Black tea, Juice, Cereals and milk, bread, eggs, bacon, sausages, fruits etc. Ah the beauty of it all.
But all I get for breakfast is horrid 'parathas', 'puris' in the office cafetaria. Bah.

Whiskey in the Jar

"Whiskey in the Jar" is one song I really love. I first heard the version by Metallica, rather saw the video. Later I heard the Thin Lizzy version of it and was blown away. Awesome.
But the fact is, its actually an Irish Folk song, which is also pretty good.
Versions by both Metallica and Thin Lizzy are different from the original. Thin Lizzy replacing "Jenny" by "Molly" and so on.

Finally Indians will read this for the articles only. Hah!

Second Coming

My second chance at blogging, had a blog which lasted all of 2 months, got bored then decided to start afresh.
Couldn't decide which service to use, so I registered the name on almost 2 other services.
