Who Goes To Takeshi's Castle?

I've been watching a bit of TV these days and many a time I watch Pogo. And I have become a regular viewer of Takeshi's Castle. Be it the idiotic tasks given to participants or the voice over in Hindi by Javed Jaffrey, all of it is hilarious. And really what in the wide world makes people go to Takeshi's Castle?

Chicken Pox

I am down with chicken pox currently. At my parents place and enjoying the good food and lazing around. Chicken pox is one disease that's scared me throughout my student life. During my graduation it meant missing one's exams as Chicken pox was very rampant in the hostel. But its ok now as I am working and don't have to worry about missing classes, exams.

Girlfriend In A Coma

Happens to be one of my favorite songs. Don't know why I like it. Maybe because of the lyrics or the metaphors or sarcasm or maybe just because of the music. Though this song by The Smiths has been interpreted to variously refer to love, homo/hetero sexuality and thousands of other things. Whatever it is - listen to it.

My Wishlist

There were many things I needed which I decided to get by hedging against future profits that were expected my way. Unfortunately the profits are taking time. So here's my wishlist:
1. Squash Racquet
2. Renewal of Worldspace subscription
3. A pair of Brown shoes and a belt

Not Uptight Are We?

The elder sister and I had a long conversation yesterday night. What came as a relief was the knowledge that she was sufficiently loosened up. A very different view of the sister I got after the long talk.
The best part which had me howling with laughter was A's (my brother-in-law) pronunciation of a certain part of the human anatomy in Hindi, in his anglicised accent.

Words And Otherwise

Many a times in office or elsewhere, I use words which would not be understood by others. But I get a kick out of seeing their puzzled faces and confused looks with such word play. And many a times when people do not get the joke, thats even better.
Coworker: Aren't my feet looking better than before?
Me: Oh yes, they look less knobbly.
Coworker: [Confused and Unsure] Knobbly?
Me: [Exiting hurriedly]
